The ask
Europol needed intranet software for criminal case dossiers, in an environment where “security review” is not a checkbox but a way of life. Multiple directorates, strict clearance requirements, and zero tolerance for shortcuts.
What I did
- Built dossier software on the organization’s SharePoint platform, inside their security perimeter
- Worked through the compliance and review process that comes with European law enforcement
- Coordinated with stakeholders across teams who each had their own (entirely reasonable) reasons to say no
How it went
Delivered. The lesson that stuck: in high-compliance environments, the paperwork is part of the engineering. Plan for it, respect it, and shipping is still possible.
